Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use savefrommedia.com ("SaveFromMedia", "we"). By using the site you agree to them. They are written in plain language; if something is unclear, just ask us.

1. What the service does

SaveFromMedia lets you save videos, photos and sound from public posts on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. You paste the link of a post, we look up the files the platform makes available for it, and your browser downloads the version you choose. Some formats, such as joined Instagram and Facebook videos, TikTok slideshows, photo ZIP files and MP3 conversions, are prepared on our server and deleted shortly afterwards.

We do not host, upload or store the content. The videos stay on the platforms' own servers, and we only help you reach a copy of something that is already publicly available.

2. No account, no payment

You don't need an account, and there is no login and nothing to pay. We don't ask for your TikTok, Instagram or Facebook password and you should never give it to anyone who asks for it on our behalf.

3. Your responsibility

By using SaveFromMedia you agree that you will:

  • only download content you created yourself, content you have permission to download, or content you keep for your own personal, non-commercial use where the law allows it;
  • not re-upload, sell or publish someone else's content as your own, or remove credit to the creator;
  • follow the terms of the platform the content comes from. TikTok, Instagram and Facebook have their own rules about downloading and reusing content, and complying with them is your responsibility;
  • not use the service for anything illegal, for harassment, or to violate anyone's privacy.

Copyright in every video, photo and song belongs to its owner. Downloading a file does not give you any right to use it beyond what the owner or the law allows.

4. Fair use of the service

To keep the site fast and free for everyone, there are limits:

  • up to 30 link checks and 15 downloads per minute from the same IP address;
  • files larger than 200 MB can't be downloaded;
  • MP3 files that have to be converted on our server are available for videos up to 5 minutes long.

You may not use bots or scripts to download in bulk, try to get around these limits, or attack, overload or probe the site. We may block access from addresses that do.

5. Private and restricted content

We only work with posts that anyone can view without logging in. We can't and won't download private posts, stories limited to friends, or live streams.

6. Files and formats

The formats offered depend on what the platform provides for each post. HD is only shown when the platform has an HD version, and TikTok videos come without the TikTok watermark whenever TikTok supplies that version; if it doesn't, the page tells you before you download. Downloaded files are named savefrommedia.com followed by a random number. We don't edit the content itself, apart from joining picture and sound, building slideshows from photos and converting sound to MP3.

7. No affiliation

SaveFromMedia is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, ByteDance, Instagram, Facebook or Meta. All trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe which links the service works with.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe content reached through our service infringes your copyright, please see our DMCA and copyright policy for how to send a notice.

9. The service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep SaveFromMedia running, but we can't promise that it will always be available, that every link will work, or that a particular quality or format will be offered. Platforms change their systems without notice, and a tool may stop working until we adapt it. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from its use, including how you use the files you download. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

10. Links to other sites

Our pages link to other websites, such as the platforms themselves and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Privacy

How we handle data, including the links you paste and the analytics we use, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
