In TikTok, tap the Share arrow under the video or photo post and pick Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from the browser bar.
Put the link in the field at the top of this page (short vm.tiktok.com links work too), then press Download.
Choose HD or SD video, a slideshow or ZIP for photo posts, or MP3 for the sound. The file goes straight to your device. Our step-by-step guide covers how to download TikTok videos without the watermark.
Links to a profile, a sound page, a hashtag or a LIVE stream point to many videos or to none at all, so they can't be saved. Open the single post you want first, then copy its link. Looking for another platform? Reels and posts have their own Instagram downloader, and the Facebook downloader handles videos, reels and fb.watch links.
In Chrome, the file goes to the Downloads folder. Open it from the notification or the Files app; most gallery apps list new videos within a few seconds.
Safari on iOS 13 or newer saves straight to the Files app under Downloads. To move a video into Photos, open it in Files, tap the share icon and choose Save Video.
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari put the file in your Downloads folder. A ZIP of photos opens with a double-click on both systems.
Yes. Paste the link of the photo post (it usually contains /photo/ followed by a number, or it is a short vm.tiktok.com link). You can then choose a slideshow video with the post's sound, a ZIP with every photo, or just the sound as MP3.
The HD and Standard options are the clean versions TikTok keeps without the logo and username overlay, so nothing is blurred or cropped. Only when TikTok temporarily limits access do we offer a copy with the watermark, and the page tells you when that happens.
The HD option is the highest version TikTok stores for that clip, usually 1080p when the creator uploaded in 1080p. If TikTok only keeps one version, you will see just the Standard option, which is the same file TikTok streams in its app.
Private videos and posts limited to friends are only shown to accounts the creator approved. We never sign in to any TikTok account, so these posts stay out of reach. Ask the creator to make the post public, or ask them to send you the file.
Yes, pick Original Audio (MP3). For most posts it is the exact sound file attached to the post. If TikTok no longer serves that file, we cut the sound from the video itself, which works for clips up to five minutes long.
No notification is sent to the creator, and nothing shows up in your TikTok account, because the download never uses your login. Please respect the creator's rights: keep downloads for personal use unless you have permission to reuse them.
If the creator removed the post, or TikTok hides it in certain regions, the link leads nowhere. Open it in the TikTok app: if it doesn't play there either, it can't be saved.
Some browsers refuse an automatic save from TikTok's servers and play the file instead. Long-press the video on a phone, or right-click it on a computer, and choose Save or Download.
TikTok mutes clips whose song was removed for copyright reasons, and the saved file then has silence too. We tell you before downloading when a post has no audio track.
HD is sharper but often encoded in H.265 (HEVC), which some older phones, TVs and editing apps can't open. Standard uses H.264, which plays everywhere. If HD shows a black screen, take Standard.
