DMCA and Copyright Policy

SaveFromMedia respects the rights of creators and copyright owners. This page explains how our service relates to the content people download with it, and how to send us a copyright notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or similar laws.

We don't host content

SaveFromMedia does not upload, host or store videos, photos or music. When someone pastes a link, our tool looks up the files that TikTok, Instagram or Facebook already make publicly available for that post, and the visitor's browser downloads them. The content itself stays on the platforms' own servers. Files that our server has to prepare, such as a video joined with its sound or a ZIP of photos, exist only for a few minutes and are then deleted automatically. We don't keep an archive or a list of downloads.

This means the most effective way to have content removed from the internet is to report it to the platform that hosts it, using TikTok's, Instagram's or Facebook's own copyright reporting forms. Once a post is removed there, our tool can no longer reach it either.

How to send a copyright notice

If you own the copyright in content, or are authorised to act for the owner, and believe our service is used to infringe it, send a written notice to savefrommedia@gmail.com. Please include:

your physical or electronic signature;
a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
the exact link(s) of the material you want us to act on (for example the TikTok, Instagram or Facebook post URL, or the page on our site);
your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. We review every complete notice and reply by email.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was acted on by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature; the material and its location before it was disabled; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, telephone number and consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your district (or, outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found). We forward valid counter-notices to the person who sent the original notice.

Repeat infringement

SaveFromMedia has no user accounts, so there are no accounts to close.

False claims

Please make sure the content is really yours before sending a notice. Under the DMCA, knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages.
